Premiere Jazz Supper Club on Nicollet Mall. The Dakota is a great musical space that offers us a chance to see and hear the famous, the soon to be famous and worthy local artists in an intimate setting at affordable prices. It is a better value for both entertainment and food than what we have experienced at other venues (like Manhattan's Blue Note for example - which is low-rent at high-rent prices compared to the Dakota). The ticket prices are a much better deal. The food is not an after thought and is reasonably priced. The Dakota has always been a great place to see top notch jazz and blues artists and at the same time get above average food and drinks with very good service in a warm intimate bustling upscale atmosphere. We hope it will always be there waiting for our next visit.
