Current winner of Best Minneapolis Thai restaurant - City Pages. In a strip mall. Inside though, you wouldn't know it. Very nice ambience with a large stone wall and fireplace. The place was packed on Friday night and there were plenty of takeouts. We understood why when we started to eat. This is a place that could become our regular Thai restaurant. It is the best Thai food we've had in the Twin Cities. The chef and owner Nong is a 70+ year old woman armed with her mother's and grandmother's recipes and years of experience in Thailand and the Twin Cities. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable.

Highlights: #30 - Green curry with fried tofu, Thai eggplant and basil leaves; #48 - Stir-fried red curry with green beans and giant sea scallops; #54 Pad Thai - Stir-fried noodles with fried tofu, coriander, lime, and crunchy peanuts. We asked for medium spicy, and we got just the way we like it. A day later we're still talking about how great the food is - everything was fresh, tasty and zesty!

State Beer Song

"...From the Land of Sky Blue Waters. From the land of pines' lofty balsams, Comes the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing. Brewed where nature works her wonders, Aged for many moons, gently mellowed, Hamm's the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing. From across the rippling water, Through the whisp'ring pines and birches, Comes the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing. Comes a call to cool enchantment, Comes a call to cool refreshment, Hamm's the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing. Hints of lakes and sunset breezes, Dance and sparkle in each glassful, Hamm's the beer refreshing, Hamm's the beer refreshing..." Dylan probably wished he'd written this while flying high on Hamms.
