Secluded modern Japanese restaurant in historic 1860's building. Origami oozes quality and good taste in the decor and their delicious food. Subdued lighting, exposed brick walls, interesting paintings set the stage for an upscale dining experience with a welcoming attentive but unobtrusive staff.
Well known for their extensive top quality sushi choices, they also provide other excellent choices - like a nice pot of Nabe Yaki Udon noodles, Donburi at lunch, as well as sukiyaki, tempura, and assorted seafood entrees including water eel and occasionally the infamous Fugu (deadly blowfish - but Origami assures everyone that you will not die eating it in their restaurant - we ourselves are risk averse and we will not be finding out how wonderful it is supposed to be). They have a good and cheap happy hour seven days a week - of which they state "Featuring drink and sushi specials to start your evening or end your day right." For us, with the incredibly good value pricing on the happy hour menu, it would be to start and end our day right.
